Goodbye

Hey you!

I am so, so sorry. Again. But school, choir (yeah, choir), and everything else has really been taking up my time, while my mom was taking the computer. But I have a short update for y'all!

I startet writing fanfictions!
They're on www.fanfiction.net, and my username is SnixxxSmythe. Here's a link to the most read, and in my opinion, best one.
All the busyness in my life right now means that I will probably barely be able to post here.
So this is sort of a goodbye message. But if you really want me to post, I will try as hard as I can to find time.

Glee Forever!

Hi everyone!

I'm sorry I didn't post last monday, I had fall break and I was just resting all week.

But, I'm back! And I have been looking forward to writing about this subject.
Glee Forever! is a free app. What do you do? You play songs, by tapping buttons at the right time. i can't really explain it any better. By playing, you earn several things:

• Stars. You know, in lots of games you can earn one to three stars in a level. It's the same here, with every song. You use stars to unlock new chapters, with new songs.
• Story tokens and Glee coins, so that you can buy new "performers", with different themes, so that you can earn more points.
• Boost cards, to level your performers, so that you can earn more points with them.
• And sometimes these things, I don't know what to call them, that you need to play monthly event songs. What they are depends on the event. Currently, they're pumpkins.

Does it sound complicated yet? Yeah? I knew it. But when you start playing it, it makes a lot more sense, trust me.

For me, it's mostly about the satisfaction I feel when I get new performers, but I can't really explain why. A disadvantage is the frustration when you're so close to getting that one achievement, but you don't, sometimes that makes me wanna slam my phone down on any surface close to me. Which is why I always play it sitting on the couch, or on my bed.

Glee Rewatch Fridays

Hey y'all!

I wonder how many of you know what the Glee rewatch fridays are. Let me explain.

A while, I think a few weeks, before the last episode of Glee aired, lots of people on social media made a promise to watch all episodes of Glee again, one each friday, starting the friday one week after the season 6 finale. I think a lot more people have watched Pilot, than there were watching Laryngitis, or Journey To Regionals, because it's pretty freakin' hard to keep it up.

Of course, I'm not saying those people forgot about the show, or can't call themselves Gleeks anymore. I totally understand how difficult it can be to make 45 minutes of time every single friday.
Most of my Indstagram friends don't do it, and gosh are they Gleeks.

But it is really, really fun to do. I look forward to it every week. And I'm kind of proud that I'm still doing it.

Fun fact: that means that friday, it's been 30 weeks since the last episode aired. Wow, time flies, huh?

Fan art

Hey!

I am so, so sorry I've been away! I haven't had time, because I write my blog on my mom's computer, and I've been really busy with school.

Anyway, we're talking about fan art today.
Of course, we talked about fan fiction, wich is a form of fan art, but there's so many more ways to show your love for a fandom through art! Here's the most common ones.

Of course, there's the most obvious way of art: actual drawing or painting of something out of the fandom, like a character, a couple or a place.

Then there's the making of virtual edits, for Instagram (follow me (-; @glee.is.the.world.to.me) or other social media. You find some great photos and make them into a scene, an edit for a person, or even an AU (wich is also a way of fan fiction). And that's just a few of the options!

Then there's the video edits. You can post them on YouTube, or on Instagram, if they're short. Put a song behind it, edit in some quotes from the series or movie or book or anything, and some short shots, and voila! You can even make trailers for fan fictions, or movies that don't even exist.

Fanfiction

Hey guys!

I want to talk to you today, about the url: https://www.fanfiction.net/tv/Glee/.

Just when I was going to the site to copy that link, I noticed something changed.
Glee used to be on top, in the FanFiction.net category "TV". And now, Supernatural has somehow risen above it. How do you guys think that happened? They both display 109K stories, but I assume Supernatural has about a hundred more stories than Glee now. So now I'm kind of irritated.

Something else about fanfiction. I know a few really good fanfics, so I'm just gonna put the urls and a lil' description right here. You don't have to like them, they're just my personal favorites.

On one comes the amazing Klaine fanfic "Little Numbers" by iknowitainteasy.
It's an AU story (AU = alternate universe), in wich Kurt and Blaine are all grown up, live in NY, and have never met. Blaine accidentally sends a text to the wrong number, and gets to know Kurt. The fun part about it is, that it's completely written in texts and sometimes phone calls, which makes it easy to read. (By the way, the link I put in goes to LiveJournal, but it's also on Scarves and Coffee if you prefer to read it there.)

Then there's "Go Your Own Way" by Zavocado. It's also a Klaine one. It's mostly canon (canon = it doesn't interfere with the storyline) with season 2, except Kurt just transferred to McKinley and Blaine is a badboy there who no one wants anything to do with. But Blaine just won't leave him alone. Oh and watch out, innocent ones, it's rated M (M = mature).

Those two are pretty famous, but this one you probably don't know yet: "Waiting For The Light To Go" by legallyblained. Kurt never knew either of his parents, he's bullied, shy and lonely, and goes from foster family to foster family. Then he ends up at the Andersons. All you need to know.

Also a personal fave, and finally a non-Kaine fic, is "Maybe I Was Just Confused" by Death by Fallen Star. It starts at the end of Smooth Criminal, and Sebastian and Santana kiss. Then do more than kiss. (Not described in the fic, it's not rated M.) Then they end up in a confusing relationship that they have to figure out. Trust me, it's way better than I'm describing it right now.

That's it, really. Also, after typing all this stuff, I'm not irritated anymore! Yay!

Hey!

Hey random people.

My name is Emmy, I live in the Netherlands, and I have a unhealthy obsession with Glee.
I still do the rewatch fridays every week, (for who wants to jump in, upcoming friday is Duets,) and I have a fan account on Instagram (@glee.is.the.world.to.me).

Still, I need even more ways to express my undying love for the fandom, so I started this blog. While I'm supposed to study history. So yeah.

Things you should know about me and my fangirling:
I've been a fan for about a year now.
I have all the volumes plus the Warblers album on CD.
I have all the seasons, exept for season 6, and the Glee concert movie on DVD.
My favorite character is Sebastian.
My OTPs are Klaine and Sebtana.
If Kurt, Santana and Sebastian could become a trinity, that would be awesome.
I also watch The Flash, and I enjoy Harry Potter and Lord Of The Rings, but I probably won't discuss them on this blog.
I love to sing, and I play the piano. (But I don't read sheet music.)
If you're looking for a blog that's gonna talk about something else than Glee even a little bit, this is not the place to be for you.
